Three 6 Mafia was my faversham all times group. Along with New Orleans Memphis is the cradle of American music, but ever since Al Green went gospel M-Town hasn't had a lot to shout about.
Although their success is strictly regional. Three six mafia and their Hypnotize Minds Crew( Gangsts Boo, Indo G, Project Part, Pastor Troy and Killa Klan) are just about the only names Memphis has had to brag about recently (unless you count to-fi Indle rockers The Griftens).
And while their guardians-of-morality-baiting-tales of pimpling, ho-slapping and murder don't exactly take the high-road their subject matter isn't really all that different from the group that originally put Memphis on the maps, The Memphis Jug Band.
